Continental, heir to Siemens VDO, supplies several families of common-rail diesel control units. PCR2.1 is the one found on VAG group TDI engines; the SID units equip Ford, PSA, Land Rover and Mazda diesels, SID208 being among the most recent. Two families close by manufacturer but unrelated by vehicle: it is the reference that matters.
