Launch control
Launch control holds the engine at a defined RPM at standstill with full throttle, for consistent and repeatable starts. We activate the factory-dormant strategy where it exists, or implement an RPM-limiter-based launch on supported platforms.
The launch RPM is set to match the drivetrain: tyres, clutch or DSG calibration, turbo spool. Tell us the setup and intended use (street demo, drag, track day) and we calibrate accordingly.

What happens inside the ECU
Launch control is not one more limiter: it is a start strategy. At standstill, throttle floored, the ECU holds a target RPM by working on ignition and injection rather than cutting hard, so that the turbo stays on boost and the launch is repeatable. On platforms that have it from the factory, the strategy already exists and waits for its enabling conditions; elsewhere, it is built on the rev limiter.
The launch RPM is nothing like a universal figure: it depends on available grip, on what the clutch or the gearbox calibration will take, and on the threshold where the turbo actually spools. Too high and the clutch pays; too low and the launch goes to sleep. So we set the value against your configuration, and we say when a platform is not suited to it rather than deliver a launch the drivetrain will not survive.
What this file does not do
Not every platform lends itself to it. Where the manufacturer provided nothing, a launch is built on the rev limiter, with what that implies: less finesse, and sometimes a result that does not justify the work. We say so beforehand, not afterwards.
Launch control does not create grip either. It makes a start repeatable; it does not excuse proper tyres or a clutch matched to the torque, and a series of full-load launches tires the whole drivetrain — that is the known price of the function. Some factory conditions also remain necessary: engine at temperature, stability control in the expected state, vehicle at a standstill. A file does not bypass those guards, it works with them.

Frequently asked questions
Which launch RPM do you set?
By default a platform-appropriate value (typically 3 000 to 4 500 rpm); you can request a specific RPM in the upload comments.
Is launch control hard on the clutch?
Repeated launches load the clutch and drivetrain, that is inherent to the function. We calibrate conservative engagement to limit the stress, and recommend it for occasional use.
Does it work on my customer's DSG?
Most DSG/S-tronic platforms support it, sometimes combined with a gearbox file. Send the vehicle details and we confirm before you commit tokens.
