Tuning tools

Autotuner is a bench and OBD programmer for engine and gearbox control units. It reads and writes original firmware on locked ECUs, with an unlock step performed either on the bench or by mail-in, depending on the family.

Flex is MagicMotorsport's ECU and TCU programmer. Its Korhex hardware extension reaches a contact point on the microcontroller using electromagnetic fault injection, which opens Boot Glitch procedures without soldering the board or removing components.

Dimsport pairs The Genius, a bench and OBD programmer, with RACE, its calibration software. RACE setting files matter as much as the read itself: they expose the maps and parameters a tuner actually works on, family by family.

BitBox is sold as modules, one per ECU family, rather than as a single licence. Several modules run only with Scanmatik SM2 or SM3 interfaces — a detail worth checking before buying, because it decides whether your existing hardware is enough.

PCMflash is organised around numbered modules, each covering a family — module 92 for Bosch MD1/MG1 bootloader access, module 82 for SH725xx gearbox units, and so on. A release usually extends one module rather than adding a new one.
