Swirl flaps off

With Stage 1 : 0.20 tokensWith Stage 2 : 0.20 tokensStandalone (without remap) : 0.50 tokens

Swirl flaps in the intake manifold optimise low-RPM torque on diesel engines, until they carbon up, seize, or break off and get swallowed by a cylinder. Mechanical removal kits are a standard preventive fix on BMW and Mercedes diesels, but the ECU then logs faults and can trigger limp mode.

Our file completes the job in software: actuator control disabled, position monitoring neutralised, related DTCs removed. The engine runs its full-load maps normally, with no trace of the missing flaps.

Frequently asked questions

Do the flaps have to be removed first?

Yes. The software delete accompanies a mechanical removal or blanking kit. Doing only the software side leaves failing hardware in the intake.

Any power loss after removal?

A marginal effect at very low RPM at most. Combined with a Stage 1, the result is a clear net gain across the range.

Which engines are most concerned?

BMW M47/M57/N47/N57 and Mercedes OM642 are the classic cases, but many modern diesels use similar intake flap systems we can handle.
